Shuttle Driver: (Part-time)

Weekday & Weekend shifts 

 

 

Duties include: Greeting guests when they arrive for their tour. Ensuring guests fill out waivers. Assist guests with selecting a life jacket. Giving safety briefing and answering general river questions.  Driving guests to the put-in, unloading kayaks and assisting guests with getting kayaks down to the river. Helping guests get onto the river. Picking guests up at the take-out and helping guests to carry kayaks and gear back to the van. Load the kayaks back on the trailer and shuttle guests back to the store.

Requirements:

  • Must be 21 or older
  • Have a valid drivers license
  • Have a clean driving record
  • Must be able to drive, park,  and backup a 15 passenger van with a 16′ trailer.
  • Must be able to lift 50lbs over you head
  • Must be able to work in the texas sun and heat.

Kayak Sales & Tour Rep: (Part-time)

Weekday & Weekend shifts 

 

 

Duties include: Opening and or closing the store. Greeting tour guests and retail clients. Checking-in tour guests, ensuring the sign waivers and are fitted for life jackets. Answering retail clients with kayak question and gear selection. Answering phones. Cleaning common areas including changing rooms, bathroom, classroom and store.

Requirements:

  • Must be 18 or older
  • Have good knowledge of different types of kayaks and kayaking gear
  • Must be able to work weekdays with possible weekends
  • Must be able to lift 50lbs.

Bike Tour Guide: (Part-time)

Weekend shifts 

Mission Biking Tours

 

 

Duties include: Greeting guests when they arrive for their tour. Having guests fill out waivers. Assist guests with bike and helmet selection and showing guests how to use the walkie talkies. Giving bike tour safety briefing and answering general questions. Guide guests safely to all 3 missions as well as other historical sites.

Requirements:

  • Must be 21 or older.
  • Have good knowledge the bike trails online the Mission Reach section of the SA River.
  • Must be able to work every other weekend.
  • Weekday tour might come available for private groups.
  • Must be able to lift 50lbs.
  • Must know or be willing to learn important historical information about the missions and other historical sites.
  • Must be able tailor bike tour to the needs of the group. This includes the speed of the tour and the ability to change the route if the group is having trouble with the terrane.
  • Must be able to do simple bike repairs.
  • Must be able to work in the Texas sun and heat (all bike tours start at 9am and are done by 2pm)
